L'interview du jour - Julien Djadjoua
Today, meet Julien Djadjoua, Business developer from Bretagne to Grand Est at Hubup. Discover his journey!

Julien, could you briefly introduce yourself?

Julien Djadjoua, 41 years old, married with 2 children. I live in Arras, Hauts de France. Currently, I hold the position of Business Developer at Hubup, covering the regions of Bretagne, Normandie, Hauts de France, and Grand Est.

What is your professional background?

I pursued studies to become a Physical Education teacher.

After an unsuccessful teaching competition and a few contracts as a sports educator in local communities, I decided to shift to passenger transport through a work-study program earning a degree at the Veolia Environment campus (formerly Transdev).

Subsequently, I spent about fifteen years in operation, ranging from a planning agent to an operations manager overseeing around 250 drivers in groups like Transdev and Keolis.

What led to your decision to change careers?

It’s not a midlife crisis, just a desire to do something else!

I was fulfilled in the companies and groups where I worked, but I think I simply needed a new challenge and a new profession in a different structure.

However, I still remain connected to passenger transport, but this time, the connection is not the same.

How do you experience full-time remote work?

Very well! I have a certain quality of life in Arras, and I balance professional and family life more easily. Communications with team members are also frequent and easy, so I am always informed about what is happening in the company.

I also go to our offices in Paris twice a month for meetings, to spend some friendly moments, and to maintain the connection among us, which I believe is important for collective success.

Finally, being based in Arras primarily allows me to reduce distances with our clients!

What is your greatest pride at Hubup?

Successfully integrating into a different professional context and role!

A big thank you to all my young colleagues in sales, development, and communication for their welcome and patience during training!

Now, it’s time to go. I’m ready to introduce our digital solutions, Operations control & PI system, training GPS, and internal communication app to operators or local authorities.

What is your hidden talent/passion?

I am passionate about football, both as a player and a spectator.  By the way, a shout-out to Racing Club de Lens for their season and the magnificent Bollaert stadium, and a little nod to my teammates to US Rivière for our future veteran champion title.
