Could you briefly introduce yourself ?
Today, we’re pleased to highlight Cyprien Moreau, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Hubup. Discover the path that shaped his professional journey.
My name is Cyprien Moreau, I’m 32 years old. I currently live between the Forest of Fontainebleau and the Loing River with my wife and our two sons. I'm the Chief Commercial Officer at Hubup, which I co-founded alongside Eric, Antoine, and Quentin.
Tell us about your career path ?
After earning an engineering degree from Arts et Métiers in Bordeaux, I began my career as a sales manager in a small luxury goods company. Shortly afterward, I teamed up with Eric, Quentin, and Antoine to co-found Hubup, where I’ve since focused on the commercial side of the business.
How did the Hubup project come to life ?
It's definitely hard to sum it all up in just a few lines! Did Hubup emerge from Eric’s early observations about the daily challenges faced by drivers and operators? Maybe it began during our informal collaboration while I was studying entrepreneurship at Sciences Po with Eric? Or perhaps even earlier back in our preparatory classes or high school years, when the four of us first met?
Truthfully, it was a tough decision to make. The four of us were driven by a shared desire to simplify the daily work of drivers and operators through our technical expertise. We've discovered so much within this ecosystem and we're still learning every day
Can you describe your role at Hubup ?
At Hubup, I’m actively involved in sales strategy, product direction, and overall company management alongside Eric, Quentin, and Antoine.
I also support my team in their interactions with clients and prospects, and manage institutional relationships with corporate groups, public entities, and commercial partners.
How has Hubup evolved since 2016 ?
I would say that we have managed to grow without compromising on our core values, including:
– Never engaging in bidding wars and always offering solutions that are tailored and fairly priced.
– Being proactive and persistent in our projects, even when facing external challenges.
– Maintaining a healthy work-life balance to provide our employees with a pleasant working environment.
In short, we take a human-centered approach based on listening and close relationships, aiming to grow in a thoughtful and steady way, without rushing.
What’s your biggest achievement ?
My greatest personal pride lies in the team and the project we’ve built together. At the end of the day, starting from almost nothing and creating a profitable, sustainable company with lasting jobs is what makes me most proud.
One moment that stands out was during the recent AGIR Days. I had stepped away from our booth briefly, and when I came back, I saw the sales team fully autonomous, actively engaging with clients. It was a powerful moment of pride to witness their dedication and that feeling keeps growing
What is your vision for Hubup in 5 years ?
The world is constantly changing. Few could have predicted the two major crises of recent years, which significantly reshaped the habits and needs of operators. Despite that, we’ve been able to adapt our approach and evolve our products to meet these new challenges.
Looking ahead to 2028, I envision a large team one that remains human-centered and attentive to the needs of our clients and prospects, wherever we operate by then. I also believe we’ll have continued to challenge ourselves and refine our products to keep making our customers’ daily lives easier.
What’s a hidden talent or passion of yours ?
I’ve always been a bit of a geek, and I’m genuinely passionate about certain aspects of geek culture video games, manga, board games... I’m always happy to chat about it !
I also practice freediving, which I highly recommend, and I do a bit of climbing as well. That said, I’ve been climbing less since my climbing buddy Antoine moved to a faraway place and since the birth of my second son !
