Today, we give the floor to Cristal Sanogo-Moulin, Business Developer on a work-study program at Hubup. Discover her journey!
Cristal, could you briefly introduce yourself?
Currently in my third year of a Bachelor’s program at Excelia Business School, I am gaining expertise in the fundamentals of business management and commerce. I am a 21-year-old woman from Tours, where I grew up surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Touraine region. I would describe myself as a lively and energetic individual, eager to learn, and passionate about engaging in conversations and meeting people from all walks of life.
What is your background?
During my first two years at business school, I had the opportunity to complete several internships and participate in student organizations, including the Student Union (Bureau des Étudiants). These experiences allowed me to fully benefit from the resources provided by my school, enabling me to thrive both professionally and personally. However, one significant step remained: securing a work-study program, which I have always seen as a true challenge. Indeed, this is my first professional experience that closely aligns with what my long-term career will look like. It was therefore crucial for me to find a work-study placement that not only met my expectations but also allowed me to make a meaningful contribution. I didn’t want to choose a placement “by chance”; I wanted it to be a logical continuation of my journey.
How did you discover Hubup?
During my search for a work-study program, I utilized various platforms such as JobTeaser, Welcome to the Jungle, and others. It was on JobTeaser that I came across the work-study offer at Hubup, which seemed to align perfectly with my ambitions: a position with responsibilities in a fast-paced learning environment. I decided to apply without hesitation.
What do you like about the role of a sales professional?
What I enjoy most about the role of a sales professional is, above all, the human and dynamic aspects of the work. It’s a job where you are constantly interacting with people—clients, partners, and colleagues. Each interaction is unique, making every day different and stimulating. I also value the intellectual challenge involved in every negotiation and project I undertake.
What do you do on a daily basis?
My daily routine is highly diverse. As a Business Manager, I am involved in managing multiple client projects, from their launch to their completion. Some days, I focus on preparing a launch for a client, which varies depending on the product. I also conduct visits to our clients to present our products and provide training. Additionally, I participate in trade shows and events where I meet partners, potential future partners, clients, or prospective leads. At Hubup, there’s no real routine: every day brings new tasks and challenges.
What is your greatest pride at Hubup?
Although I have only three months of experience at Hubup, I believe many proud moments await me this year. That said, I’ve already accomplished things I’m proud of. For example, I’ve had the opportunity to present our products to prospective clients. Given that the topic of transport operations is complex and precise, I take pride in learning more every day and sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through my work.
What is your hidden talent/passion?
For six to seven years, I sang in a choir and also played the viola in an orchestra at the Tours Conservatory. If we’re talking about hidden talents, these two musical passions probably define me the most.
What are the three words that best describe Hubup?
Attentive, dynamic, high-performing.
